In an uncharacteristically nice turn, the "Copyright Czar" Victoria Espinel has asked for public opinions on IP enforcement.Now, it's obvious that she's really fishing for the RIAA and MPAA to provide her with justification. But even so, the fact is that the lines of communication have been opened.

So, on the tails of my recent post about why artists should embrace filesharing, I decided to write her an email. This is the text of that email.
