XFest 2010, Last.fm, and more free music

Hello, all. More news from the land of Karlheinz.

First of all: I am playing tomorrow night (that's Friday) as part of the XFest 2010 at the 119 Gallery in Lowell. I have no idea if it will be any good, as I was put on the bill without actually being told it existed, and am playing in an ensemble group of improv musicians. But, hey, it's free, so you have nothing to lose, and there are plenty of other swell people who I'm sure will be excellent. The fest is a three-day affair, so if you like improvised music, you'll want to stay for the weekend.

Details and lineup here:

In other news: Because I am so forward-thinking and ahead of my time, I am now exploiting a music website called "Last.fm." The link to my page is here:

Through there, you will also be able to view pages for Karlsruhe, and Lord and Karlheinz:

Most of the music on these pages is free to stream and free to download; the only exceptions are in-print material, and the Karlsruhe live recording (due to our cover of Godflesh's "Pulp").

Inspired by this new venue, I dug deep into my dusty archives and made my out-of-print album "Shit" available. MP3's can be downloaded through Last.fm, and registered users at khznoise.com can download a lossles FLAC version from here:

An informative documentary about the making of the album is here:

One final note: I may very well be having problems with this mailing list reaching people. If this is true, I need to make some changes to my website. So, when and if you get this missive, I would be extremely grateful if all y'all wrote a reply saying you got this. Sorry for the inconvenience, I just want to make sure everything is hunky dory.
